Client Background
A major meat processing and export facility in Buenos Aires, Argentina, specializing in high-quality beef for the EU market. The plant requires large volumes of hot water and steam for cleaning, sterilization, and rendering processes.
The Challenge
The plant faces variable production shifts with huge spikes in hot water demand during sanitation windows. Rising natural gas prices were cutting into margins. They needed a highly efficient system that could recover waste heat to preheat the massive volumes of washing water required.
Our Solution
Yudong supplied an 8-ton WNS Gas Steam Boiler integrated with a customized Flue Gas Condenser. This condenser recovers latent heat from the exhaust gases to preheat the feed water for the sanitation ring main, raising it from 20°C to 85°C essentially for free.
