Project Specifications
Project Overview
Sustainable steam generation using locally sourced wood chips and agricultural waste, reducing fuel costs by 40%.
This project demonstrates our commitment to delivering high-efficiency, reliable heating solutions tailored to specific industrial needs. The system was designed to maximize energy efficiency while ensuring strict compliance with local environmental regulations.
Client Background
A food processing facility in Lagos, Nigeria, producing instant noodles and beverages. The factory faces issues with unreliable grid electricity and expensive, fluctuating diesel prices, heavily impacting their operational costs.
The Challenge
The reliance on diesel generators and diesel-fired boilers was unsustainable due to soaring fuel prices. However, the region typically lacks a natural gas pipeline network. The client needed a fuel-flexible solution that could utilize locally available and cheap solid fuels without frequent breakdowns.
Our Solution
Yudong proposed a 15-ton SZL Biomass Steam Boiler capable of burning wood chips, palm kernel shells, and briquettes. The boiler features a large furnace arch designed for biomass combustion and a heavy-duty chain grate to handle varying fuel sizes. We also included a rigorous water treatment plant to handle the local hard water supply.
